Frequently Arsed Questions

We know it can be a little embarassing to ask questions about toilet stuff so we have saved you the pain and answered as many as we can below. If you do have a specific question you would like answered please email us on embarassingproblems@firepotfood.com

Using the potty

If you are a man, position the Firepotty carefully and lift the seat. If you are a woman, put the seat down and sit before use. If neither of these options apply to you, then we recommend you make your own decision based on the equipment you have available.

Position the Firepotty on a level surface. Lower the seat, sit down comfortably, and firmly close the lid when finished.

Follow the guidelines to doing a number two, and combine this with doing a number one.

Yes, Firepotty is designed to be weatherproof, so whether it's sunny or raining, your potty will be there for you.

Maintenance

As and when required, clean your Firepotty using biodegradable soap and water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water after cleaning.

Firepotty is built to endure the harshest conditions nature can throw at it but we do recommend a regular maintenance check on all seals and gaskets, and the application of an appropriate silicone based lubricant on any hinges and moving parts every six months.

Specifications

Firepotty has a large 4.2 litre capacity waste tank which means it can be used repeatedly on any hike or expedition.

An empty Firepotty weighs in at just under 5 kilograms. The total weight of a Firepotty filled to the max fill line will be nearer to 12 kilograms.

Firepotty comes with three USB 3.0 type A ports with a maximum charging current of 2.0A.
