There are some exceptions to the five year rule:
- Our compostable packaging keeps the food fresh for one year.
- In our standard yellow packaging, our Hot Chocolate Pudding offers a two year BBE date; and our Posh Baked Beans, Chilli non Carne , Mac'n Greens and Vegan Orzo Bolognese offer three years from the point of manufacture.
For customers that bought meals from us before April 2023, it is worth noting that:
- If you have a Firepot sitting at home and your meal is dated 2021, the best before end (BBE) date can now be extended to 2026.
- If your meal is dated 2022, the BBE date can be extended to 2027.
